Following the announcement of The Kahnawake COVID-19 Task Force that it has officially raised the Pandemic Status from Orange to Red, Playground is once again forced to temporarily close its doors, effective at 12:01am Sunday, October 4.
Kahnawake Gaming Commission regulations requires that everyone who plays at Playground must possess a valid PIayer’s Card. We collect personally identifiable information from you when you sign up for your Player’s Card, either in person or via the website. This information is stored in a secure database. The information we collect and store includes your name, physical address information, phone number, and email address. When you sign up for a Player’s Card through the website, we also collect a photograph of a piece of government-issued ID.
In addition, in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, we record and store information about your play.
You may visit our site anonymously but you will not have access to the advanced features offered online.
2. What do we use your information for?
To personalize your experience on our website – your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.
To process transactions including purchasing tournament tickets online. The email address you provide may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order.
To meet the requirements of our regulator to maintain records of play (tournaments and cash games).
To send periodic marketing emails if you opt in to receive them (subscribe) – the email address you provide for your Player’s Card is stored, and if you opt-in, may be used to send you occasional marketing emails. Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
To provide important tournament information both during and following poker tournaments. This information may be displayed publicly within Playground (on screens and printed), and in the case of major events, published by Playground and/or sent to third parties for publication.
3. How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. All servers used meet current security best practices. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider’s database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and those who are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction has been completed, your credit card information will not be stored on our servers.
Your payment and transaction information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
4. Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
In general, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you. In addition, we share information with outside parties in the following ways:
During poker tournaments, personal information may be displayed temporarily on the premises and may be published on our website. This information is required to be published in order to facilitate the orderly operation of the tournament, and includes information like seating information and tournament results.
Following poker tournaments, personal information will be published on our website and shared with reputable third-party publications that accumulate and publish live tournament results, including but not limited to The Hendon Mob Poker Database, the Global Poker Index, and Card Player Magazine.
Jackpot and/or other prize winner’s identities and photos may be published on our website.
Cash game “aliases” may be personally identifiable and are displayed publicly while you are on a waiting list to play.
We release your name and other information to the regulator in the case that you choose to self-exclude or are excluded from play for any other reason.
We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, to enforce our site policies, or to protect our property, safety, rights, or those of others.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party information, products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. 6. Opting out
Players have several options to control their personal information.
For cash game aliases, you should simply go to the Player Services desk and ask them to change this alias to any other value you like. This information will therefore no longer be identifiable to the public.
For tournaments, upon request we can display your first name and last initial instead of your whole name. When information in this format is shared with outside sites, it is published as “Unknown” and your name will not be disclosed to the public.
For basic Player’s Card information, corrections or updates may be made at any time by visiting the Player Services desk or writing email@example.com and making a request.
You may choose to remove all personally identifiable information from our player database, although for regulatory reasons, this means you will no longer have the right to play at Playground. Play history will be retained, but will not be associated with any personal information.
You may choose to unsubscribe to our email marketing list, either directly on the website or by requesting to unsubscribe at the Player Services desk.
